The application to amend the Zoning By-law proposes to permit a 23-storey addition to the east side of the existing 26-storey residential apartment building. The total height of the proposed building addition including the mechanical penthouse is 72.73 metres. The proposed addition steps down to a 4-storey podium along Church Street. It contains 211 dwelling units including 199 residential rental units as well as 12 residential condominium units located on the top two floors. The applicant is proposing to reduce the amount of underground parking from 183 parking spaces to 166 parking spaces to accommodate the new elevator and stair core.
