This session provides participants with information regarding the non-credit upgrading program offered by Toronto District School Board through Essential Skills Upgrading (ESU) which is an outcomes-based, goal-oriented approach to education. Participants in ESU will acquire the skills necessary to move on to further education, apprenticeship programs and employment. After the information session, interested clients can remain for assessment and registration.

A settlement worker is available to meet with individuals for 1:1 appointments. Every Wednesday from 9:00am to 4:00pm.

Newcomer Individuals will receive supportive settlement counselling and referral to newcomer services. Information provided in English, Mandarin and Cantonese

A Neighbourhood Link Counsellor is available for 1:1 appointments to explore career, employment and training goals and direct individuals to appropriate services, develop a Service Plan and support, monitor, and follow-up to achieve goals. They will determine what activities would be most beneficial and in which sequence: Résumé Writing, Interview Preparation, Career Decision Making, Job Matching, Placements, Education and Training, Referrals to Community Services.
