Participants will learn about the application process, the rules around how and when to apply, information on helpful tools and resources in the community and how this process can improve access to employment opportunities.   We will also discuss strategies for job searching with a criminal record.

In this workshop you will learn about your rights and explore your options on disclosing/not disclosing and what that means for you. This workshop can help you prepare, maintain and transition into employment. After the workshop a lawyer will be available to answer one-on-one legal questions pertaining to the records suspension process and your unique situation.

On the second Wednesday of each month between 2:00-4:30 pm, our office hosts a record suspension advisor who can educate you on the requirements for getting a criminal record suspension. You will learn about the application process, the rules around how and when to apply, and information on helpful tools and resources in the community.
