City Council on September 30 and October 1, 2009, adopted the following:

1.         City Council appoint each of the three persons listed in Confidential Attachment 1 to the report (September 17, 2009) from Mayor David Miller, to serve at the pleasure of Council as a member of the Board of Directors of Toronto Waterfront Revitalization Corporation effective October 1, 2009, for a term of three years ending October 1, 2012, or until his or her successor is appointed.

2.         Confidential Attachment 1 be made public following City Council's approval of the appointments and notification to the appointees and Confidential Attachment 2 remain confidential.

Confidential Attachment 1 is now public in its entirety and contains the following recommendations:

1.         The following three persons be appointed at the pleasure of Council to the Board of Directors of Waterfront Toronto for a term of three years starting October 1, 2009 and ending October 1, 2012 or until their successors are appointed:

Mr. Mark Wilson (incumbent);

Ms. Janet Graham (incumbent); and

Mr. Matti Siemiatycki.

2.         Council endorse the selection of Mr. Mark Wilson as Chair of the Waterfront Toronto Board of Directors to serve for the duration of his term or until such time as a new Chair is named by the three governments.

3.         City Council request the Mayor, on behalf of Council, to express the City’s appreciation to Mr. Wilson for his commitment to waterfront revitalization as Chair of Waterfront Toronto.

4.         City Council authorize and direct the appropriate City officials to take the necessary action to give effect thereto.
