City Council Decision
City Council on October 24 and 25, 2011, adopted the following:
1. City Council appoint the selected individual listed in Confidential Attachment 1 as Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Metropolitan Toronto Pension Plan and the Board of Trustees of the Metropolitan Toronto Police Benefit Fund Committee, at the pleasure of Council, for a term of office up to November 30, 2014 and until a successor is appointed.
2. City Council authorize the City Clerk to make the appointee's name public once appointed by Council and the appointee has been notified.
City Council has appointed the following person as Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Metropolitan Toronto Pension Plan and the Board of Trustees of the Metropolitan Toronto Police Benefit Fund Committee:

Committee Recommendations
The Civic Appointments Committee recommends that:
1. City Council appoint the selected individual listed in Confidential Attachment 1 as Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Metropolitan Toronto Pension Plan and the Board of Trustees of the Metropolitan Toronto Police Benefit Fund Committee, at the pleasure of Council, for a term of office up to November 30, 2014 and until a successor is appointed.

This report presents the Treasurer's recommendations for citizen appointments to the position of Chair for each of the following two (2) Boards for a term concurrent with the term of the existing Council, and continuing until a successor is appointed:
a. The Board of Trustees of the Metropolitan Toronto Pension Plan; and
b. The Board of Trustees of the Metropolitan Toronto Police Benefit Fund.
