City Council Decision

City Council on March 8 and 9, 2011, adopted the following:

 

1.         City Council approve enacting a “No Left Turn, Anytime” restriction for northbound traffic on Park Lawn Road, approximately 111 metres south of The Queensway, at the driveway access to 152/154/156 Park Lawn Road.

 

2.         City Council approve enacting a “No Left Turn, Anytime” restriction for northbound traffic on Park Lawn Road, approximately 41 metres south of The Queensway, at the driveway access to 515 The Queensway.

Community Council Recommendations

Etobicoke York Community Council recommends that:

 

1.         City Council approve enacting a “No Left Turn, Anytime” restriction for northbound traffic on Park Lawn Road, approximately 111 metres south of The Queensway, at the driveway access to 152/154/156 Park Lawn Road.

 

2.         City Council approve enacting a “No Left Turn, Anytime” restriction for northbound traffic on Park Lawn Road, approximately 41 metres south of The Queensway, at the driveway access to 515 The Queensway.

Decision Advice and Other Information

The Etobicoke York Community Council requested the Acting Director, Transportation Services, Etobicoke York District, to report to the June 22, 2011 meeting of the Etobicoke York Community Council, after further discussions with the applicant with respect to these turn prohibitions.

Summary

The purpose of this report is to recommend the introduction of “No Left Turn, Anytime” restrictions for northbound traffic on Park Lawn Road at the driveway accesses to 152/154/156 Park Lawn Road and 555 The Queensway.

 

The proposed turn prohibitions are development related and all cost will be funded by the developers as part of conditions of site plan approval. As the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) operates bus service on Park Lawn Road, TTC staff has been advised of this recommendation and concur.
