2.         ensure, in his report, that the principles in determining any new Ward Boundaries, take into account:

b       population densities anticipated in any future Official Plans and Zoning By-laws.

Summary

The City of Toronto's continuous growth provides an opportunity to revisit the feasibility of reviewing the Ward boundaries, to better represent residents.  As our communities become increasingly denser, needs are beginning to merge and reflect a certain commonality.

As it is customary for governments to reevaluate representation, it would benefit the City of Toronto to review the possibility of enhancing boundaries to better reflect community goals and needs for consistency in representation.
