Community Council Decision

North York Community Council:

 

1.         Deferred consideration of the report (May 29, 2013) from the Director, Community Planning, North York District, to its meeting on October 17, 2013, so that the two Ward Councillors, and any other interested Councillors, can be thoroughly briefed on the various options and provided with a detailed analysis of the traffic generation associated with each option, and so that an adequate community consultation process can be put in place prior to the endorsement of any recommendations by North York Community Council.

Summary

This report summarizes the findings of the Yonge Street North Planning Study. Following from the Study's findings, the report outlines key issues to be considered and next steps in preparing draft amendments to the Official Plan, for further consultation with the community in the fall of 2013.

 

This report recommends that Council authorize staff to use the consultant's final report in Attachment 2 as a guide to drafting Official Plan policies and other appropriate planning tools, and that they be the subject of a community consultation meeting in the fall of 2013.
