1.         Requested the Executive Director, Engineering and Construction Services, to report to the Public Works and Infrastructure Committee in the first quarter of 2014 on options for providing the public with access to an online inventory and condition assessment of all bridges and elevated roadways in the City of Toronto.

 

2.         Requested the Executive Director, Engineering and Construction Services, to report annually to City Council, through the Public Works and Infrastructure Committee, on the condition of the city's bridges and elevated roadways and the proposed rehabilitation plan.

Letter from Councillor Denzil Minnan-Wong requesting better disclosure of information to both City Council and the public on the state of bridges and elevated roadways, including inspection schedules and results through the introduction of an online resource that is both easy to access and easy to understand and suggesting that staff  be requested to report regularly to City Council on the condition of bridges and elevated roadways and proposed rehabilitation plan.
