The Toronto and East York Community Council:

1.         Directed Transportation Services staff to investigate the change of speed limits to 30km/hr on Annex roads for the following roads:

            -           Albany Avenue from Bloor Street to Dupont Street;

            -           Howland Avenue from Bloor Street to Dupont Street;

            -           Brunswick Avenue from Bloor Street to Dupont Street;

            -           Walmer Road from Bloor Street to Dupont Street;

            -           Madison Avenue from Bloor Street to Dupont Street;

            -           Huron Street from Bloor Street to Dupont Street; and

            -           Bedford Road from Bloor Street to Dupont Street.

Annex residents and the Annex Residents' Association have contacted my office requesting that all Annex local roads be converted into 30km/hr speed limits in an effort to create safer roads for cyclists. The request for the implementation of 30km/hr speed limits is proposed for the following roads:

•           Albany Avenue from Bloor Street to Dupont Street

•           Howland Avenue from Bloor Street to Dupont Street

•           Brunswick Avenue from Bloor Street to Dupont Street

•           Walmer Road from Bloor Street to Dupont Street

•           Madison Avenue from Bloor Street to Dupont Street

•           Huron Street from Bloor Street to Dupont Street

•           Bedford Road from Bloor Street to Dupont Street.
