City Council Decision
City Council on June 10, 11, 12 and 13, 2014, adopted the following:
1. City Council request the Executive Director, Social Development Finance and Administration, the Chief Executive Officer, Build Toronto, the Chief Planner and Executive Director, City Planning, and the Director, Toronto Office of Partnerships, to review and identify City building opportunities, in consultation with the Toronto District School Board and Toronto Lands Corporation, on the Bendale/David and Mary Thomson Toronto District School Board redevelopment site and report back to the Executive Committee at its meeting on August 20, 2014; such review to include consideration of community partnerships to develop community/recreation facilities and services on the David and Mary Thomson portion of the site.
2. City Council direct the Director, Affordable Housing Office, the General Manager, Children's Services, the Chief Planner and Executive Director, City Planning, the General Manager, Economic Development and Culture, the General Manager, Parks, Forestry, and Recreation, the Director, Real Estate Services, and the Director, Toronto Office of Partnerships, coordinated by the Executive Director, Social Development, Finance and Administration, to work together under the School Lands Acquisition Framework to identify and regularly report to City Council on sites where multiple divisional property acquisition interests exist.
3. City Council request the General Manager, Parks, Forestry and Recreation to host a public meeting about the proposed community centre at the surplus site adjacent to St. Basil the Great College School at 20 Starview Lane.
4. City Council request the General Manager, Parks, Forestry and Recreation and the Director, Real Estate Services to report to the August 20, 2014 meeting of the Executive Committee if there are recommendations to acquire the St. Basil the Great College School and to amend the approved 2014 Capital Budget for Parks, Forestry and Recreation to fund the acquisition.

Committee Recommendations
The Executive Committee recommends that:
1. Summary
This report provides information about anticipated impacts of recently surplused Toronto Catholic District School Board (TCDSB) school properties. Five TCDSB school properties have recently been offered for sale, four of which are currently operating schools which will be relocated to new facilities and one which is the sale of a portion of land attached to a school property. This report identifies potential impacts on local community access to green space and recreational and other community facilities.
This report also provides information on requested reassessments of City of Toronto interest in two Toronto District School Board (TDSB) school sites: the Vincent Massey site and the Lawrence-Midland Redevelopment site.
