City Council Decision
City Council on May 6, 7 and 8, 2014, adopted the following:
1. City Council adopt the confidential instructions to staff in Confidential Attachment 2 to the report (May 5, 2014) from the City Solicitor.
2. City Council authorize the release of the Recommendations, and Maps 2 and 3 in Confidential Attachment 2 to the report (May 5, 2014) from the City Solicitor when settlement is achieved, with the balance of Confidential Attachment 2 to the report (May 5, 2014) from the City Solicitor to remain confidential.
The Recommendations, and Maps 2 and 3 in Confidential Attachment 2 to the report (May 5, 2014) from the City Solicitor remain confidential in their entirety at this time in accordance with the provisions of the City of Toronto Act, 2006, as they contain advice that is subject to solicitor-client privilege and they pertain to litigation or potential litigation before administrative tribunals, affecting the municipality or local board. The Recommendations, and Maps 2 and 3 in Confidential Attachment 2 to the report (May 5, 2014) from the City Solicitor will be made public when settlement is achieved.
The balance of Confidential Attachment 2 to the report (May 5, 2014) from the City Solicitor remains confidential in its entirety in accordance with the provisions of the City of Toronto Act, 2006, as it contains advice that is subject to solicitor-client privilege and it pertains to litigation or potential litigation before administrative tribunals, affecting the municipality or local board.

City Council recessed its public session and met as Committee of the Whole in closed session on May 6, 2014, to consider confidential information on this Item as it relates to the receiving of advice that is subject to solicitor-client privilege and litigation or potential litigation, including matters before administrative tribunals, affecting the municipality or local board. Reason for Urgency:
This Motion is urgent because an OMB hearing of this matter is scheduled for May 26, 2014 and it is necessary to give instructions to City staff to proceed and to prepare for this Ontario Municipal Board hearing.
