Summary

This staff report is about a matter for which Toronto and East York Community Council has delegated authority from City Council to make a final decision.

The purpose of this report is to obtain authority to amend the traffic and parking regulations required to implement contra-flow bicycle lanes on Argyle Street.  These by-law amendments were previously submitted to Toronto and East York Community Council in the March 18, 2014 staff report, titled "By-law Amendments for Installed and Approved Contra-Flow Bicycle Lanes," which contained proposed traffic and parking regulations for contra-flow bicycle lanes on several streets. The recommendations pertaining to Argyle Street were referred back to staff to enable additional consultation prior to consideration by Community Council. The additional consultation has been completed and, consequently, the proposed traffic and parking regulation changes for Argyle Street are being re-submitted in this report.
