Summary
I have heard from my many of my colleagues on Council and residents alike regarding the need to Licence Methadone Clinics in the City of Toronto.
While Methadone Clinics offer an important service, it is essential that they operate in a responsible manner and in harmony with the surrounding community.
Regulating Methadone Clinics and Methadone Pharmacies for the purpose of protecting the health, safety and well being of persons and to ensure that they do not negatively impact surrounding properties is both necessary and desirable.
With the growing numbers of these types of facilities in our City, it is incumbent upon us to ensure that operators conduct their business in a manner that does not disrupt the neighbouring community.
