The Toronto and East York Community Council:

1.  Rescinded the traffic and parking regulations outlined in Appendix A – By-Laws to be Rescinded, attached to the report (March 16, 2016) from the Director, Transportation Services, Toronto and East York District.

2.  Enacted the traffic and parking regulations outlined in Appendix B – By-Laws to be Enacted, attached to the report (March 16, 2016) from the Director, Transportation Services, Toronto and East York District.

This staff report is about a matter that Community Council has delegated authority to make a final decision, provided that it is not amended so that it varies with City policy or by-laws.

Transportation Services is requesting approval to implement traffic and parking regulations in the West Don Lands Neighbourhood, which is bounded by King Street East, Cherry Street, Lake Shore Boulevard East, and the Don Valley Parkway.  The introduction of traffic and parking regulations is required to facilitate the safe and efficient flow of traffic.

Traffic regulations and lane designations related to the previously approved traffic control signals at Bayview Avenue and Lawren Harris Square, and newly proposed traffic control signals at Bayview Avenue and Front Street East will be addressed in a separate report to Toronto and East York Community Council, entitled "Traffic Control Signals – Bayview Avenue/Lawren Harris Square and Bayview Avenue/Front Street East".
