Point of Privilege by Councillor Michael Ford

Councillor Ford, rising on a Point of Privilege after the Speaker called for declarations of interest, stated that after consulting with the Integrity Commissioner and the City Clerk on Item CC32.12, as this is technically not a MCIA conflict, but it has to do with a deceased member of his family.

 


Point of Privilege by Councillor Giorgio Mammoliti

Councillor Mammoliti, rising on a Point of Privilege, stated that the would like to know more detail as to why the Integrity Commissioner is giving advice to Members of Council that is contrary to the law.  Councillor Mammoliti further stated that Members of Council need a briefing on what they can and cannot vote on.

Ruling by Speaker Frances Nunziata
Speaker Nunziata accepted the Point of Privilege and ruled that she would undertake to get comments from the Integrity Commissioner.
