The Economic Development Committee:

 

1.  Requested the General Manager, Economic Development and Culture in consultation with the Medical Officer of Health and other relevant city staff to report to the Economic Development Committee by April 2018 on how programs like Food Starter might be leveraged to support other City policy priorities, including poverty reduction, job training, entrepreneurialism, environmental protection, climate change mitigation and to consider what resources might be available, both private and public, to support any proposed initiatives.

The Economic Development and Culture Division has identified opportunities that strive to strengthen the economic vitality of the Food and Beverage Sector.
