City Council Decision
City Council on July 4, 5, 6 and 7, 2017, adopted the following:
1. City Council increase Legal Services' Approved 2017 Operating Budget by $153,000 gross and $0 net and increase the staff complement in Legal Services by two positions, consisting of a lawyer (Solicitor 1) and a Law Clerk, on a temporary two year basis, to carry out expropriation work arising out of Toronto Transit Commission capital projects, the cost of such positions to be funded by the Toronto Transit Commission Approved 2017 Capital Budget (Project CTT028 Easier Access).

Committee Recommendations
The Executive Committee recommends that:
1. City Council increase Legal Services' 2017 approved Operating Budget by $153,000 gross and $0 net and increase the staff complement in Legal Services by two positions, consisting of a lawyer (Solicitor 1) and a Law Clerk, on a temporary two year basis, to carry out expropriation work arising out of Toronto Transit Commission ("TTC") capital projects, the cost of such positions to be funded by the Toronto Transit Commission 2017 Approved Capital Budget (Project CTT028 Easier Access).

The positions would be in the Planning and Administrative Law practice group and would consist of a lawyer and a Law Clerk.
