City Council Decision

City Council on March 9, 2017, adopted the following:

 

1.  City Council request the Director, Transportation Services, Etobicoke York District, to undertake a thorough study of potential solutions, including signs, pavement markings, flashing beacons, etc. that could be implemented in order to mitigate future collisions on Browns Line, between Dover Drive and Lake Shore Boulevard West.

Community Council Recommendations

Etobicoke York Community Council recommends that:

Summary

In recent months there have been two fatal car crashes on Browns Line travelling southbound between Dover Drive and Lake Shore Boulevard West. Motorists that are unfamiliar with the geography of the area might not anticipate the 90° curve that follows the Browns Line Bridge.
