City Council Decision

City Council on July 4, 5, 6  and 7, 2017, adopted the following:

 

1.  City Council amend the existing standing prohibition at all times on the east side of Islington Avenue between Bloor Street West and Aberfoyle Crescent, to be in effect from Bloor Street West to a point 39 metres south of Aberfoyle Crescent.

 

2.  City Council prohibit stopping at all times on the east side of Islington Avenue between Aberfoyle Crescent and a point 39 metres south.

Community Council Recommendations

Etobicoke York Community Council recommends that:

 

1.  City Council amend the existing standing prohibition at all times on the east side of Islington Avenue between Bloor Street West and Aberfoyle Crescent, to be in effect from Bloor Street West to a point 39 metres south of Aberfoyle Crescent.

 

2.  City Council prohibit stopping at all times on the east side of Islington Avenue between Aberfoyle Crescent and a point 39 metres south.

Summary

The purpose of this report is to install a No Stopping Anytime regulation on the east side of Islington Avenue from Aberfoyle Crescent to a point 39 metres south, to improve safety and transit operations in the area.

 

As the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) operates bus service on Islington Avenue, City Council approval of this report is required.
