City Council on March 28 and 29, 2017, adopted the following:
1. City Council request the Government of Canada to index to inflation the Canada Child Benefit immediately.
2. City Council reiterate its request to the Government of Canada to negotiate a new federal provincial agreement to develop and implement a system of universally-accessible high quality, affordable child care for all families.
