Summary

Recently Transportation Services installed a "No Winter Maintenance" sign on the City of Toronto paved path which connects the north part of Heathfield Drive to Hill Crescent without notice to the community.

The path is critical to local residents, cyclists, dog walkers and hikers. It not only provides a connection to Heathfield Drive, Sylvan Avenue and Hill Crescent it connects residents to public transit as well as to the Waterfront Trail system. The path has a high volume of users.

I have received a petition from the surrounding community requesting that year-round maintenance be reinstated as residents were surprised to see the newly installed "No Winter Maintenance" sign.

I am requesting Transportation Services reinstate regular year-round maintenance on the Heathfield Path that connects the north part of Heathfield Drive off of Sylvan Avenue to Hill Crescent, access to public transit as well as access to the Waterfront Trail System.

Thank you, in advance, for your consideration of this request.
