Community Council Decision
The Toronto and East York Community Council:
1. Approved the closure of the sidewalk and 5.8 metres of the curb lane on the south side of Wabash Avenue, between a point 71.5 metres east of Sorauren Avenue and Lukow Terrace, from February 27, 2017 to October 31, 2018.
2. Amended the existing parking except by permit from 12:01 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. daily on the south side of Wabash Avenue, from a point 15 metres west of Macdonell Avenue to Sorauren Avenue, to be in effect between a point 15 metres west of Macdonnell Avenue to a point 32.5 metres west of Lukow Terrace; and from a point 85 metres west of Lukow Terrace to Sorauren Avenue.
3. Prohibited stopping at all times on the south side of Wabash Avenue, between a point 71.5 metres east of Sorauren Avenue and a point 53.5 metres further east.
4. Directed the applicant to post a 24-hour monitored construction hotline number on the hoarding board, which must be prominently placed and legible from 20 metres and on all elevations from the construction site.
5. Directed the applicant to provide and install public art, including mural artwork, onto every elevation of the hoarding board with adequate spotlighting for night-time illumination, at their sole cost, to the satisfaction of the Ward Councillor.
6. Directed that Wabash Avenue be returned to its pre-construction traffic regulations when the project is completed.

Transportation Services is requesting approval to close the south sidewalk and curb lane on Wabash Avenue for a period of 20 months.
Alterra Group is building a 4-storey residential condominium building with one level of underground parking at 35 Wabash Avenue. The site is located on the south side of Wabash Avenue, between Sorauren Avenue and Lukow Terrace. To enable construction, the applicant requires the aforementioned closures.

Motions
That the recommendations in the report (January 23, 2017) from the Acting Director, Transportation Services, Toronto and East York District be adopted, amended by deleting Recommendations 1, 2 and 3 and replacing them with the following new recommendations 1, 2 and 3:
1. Toronto and East York Community Council approve the closure of the sidewalk and 5.8 metres of the curb lane on the south side of Wabash Avenue, between a point 71.5 metres east of Sorauren Avenue and Lukow Terrace, from February 27, 2017 to October 31, 2018.
2.
