Community Council Decision
The Toronto and East York Community Council directed:
1. Transportation Services to develop and implement a public consultation plan to solicit feedback from residents in 2018 on the proposal for potential policy changes and/or by-law amendments required to implement Residential On-street Permit Parking on streets that do not have permit parking in the Toronto and East York District.
2. Transportation Services undertake on-street parking field surveys to calculate the number of potential parking spaces that can be added to the current permit parking inventory from streets that fall within the boundary of the Toronto and East York District that currently do not have permit parking, with surveying to be conducted within the current ward boundaries.
3. Transportation Services to report back to Toronto and East York Community Council on the results of the public consultation and street surveys in the first quarter of 2019.

Summary
Transportation Services is responding to a request from Toronto and East York Community Council, Item TE24.60, requesting additional information on the potential for policy changes and/or by-law amendments to implement the Residential On-street Permit Parking Program on streets that do not currently have permit parking in the Toronto and East York area.
Specifically, this report will provide an overview of:
- the inventory of streets in Toronto and East York that currently do not have Permit Parking, but could accommodate on-street parking;
- options for public consultation, including a special meeting of Toronto and East York Community Council;
- the cost and staff implications of expanding permit parking;
- the by-law amendments required to expand permit parking; and
an implementation plan.

That Toronto and East York Community Council direct that:
1. Transportation Services develop and implement a public consultation plan to solicit feedback from residents in 2018 on the proposal for potential policy changes and/or By-Law Amendments required to implement Residential On-street Permit Parking on streets that do not have permit parking in the Toronto and East York District.
2.
