Item - 2018.EX36.41

The Executive Committee:

1.  Requested the Executive Director, Human Resources to develop a Persons with Disabilities Employment Strategy with the purpose of ensuring that persons with disabilities are employed at the City of Toronto at a level reflective of their representation in the population of the City, consistent with City Council approved directions in Item EX35.5 adopted by the Executive Committee on June 19, 2018, Item EX30.28 adopted by the Executive Committee on January 24, 2018, and the Aboriginal Employment Strategy.

As its meeting on June 20, 2018, the Toronto Accessibility Advisory Committee considered updates from the Leads of the following Toronto Accessibility Advisory Committee Working Groups:

- Communications Working Group; 

- Employment Working Group;

- Transportation Working Group;

- Housing Working Group; and

- Disability and Policing Working Group.
