Community Council Decision
Etobicoke York Community Council:
1. Authorized a school bus loading zone in operation from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on the west side of Chartwell Road from a point 30 metres north of Ambleside Avenue and a point 30 metres further north.

This staff report is about a matter for which the Community Council has delegated authority from City Council to make a final decision.
To address safety concerns and congestion in the area of Castlebar Public School (70 Chartwell Road), it is recommended that a school bus loading zone be created to accommodate school buses loading and discharging students. This amendment will improve traffic operations, address concerns regarding traffic congestion and safety and provide additional facilities for school drop-off and pick-up of attending school children. This recommendation is the result of consultation with the area Councillor and the school's principal.
