Origin

(April 24, 2018) Letter from Councillor Paul Ainslie - Ward 43 - Scarborough East

Summary

In an effort to address traffic volume and speed on local roads with multiple access points in school zones, traffic calming measures have been implemented to deter vehicles from shortcutting in communities.  These measures include turn prohibitions.

While turn prohibitions and traffic calming measures assist in addressing the motor vehicle shortcutting through communities, some local residents feel penalized.  A local traffic vehicle decal would resolve this matter.  A simple sticker affixed to the vehicle would alert traffic enforcement to allow local residents to access their community.
