City Council Decision
Various presentations, introductions and announcements were made to City Council on February 12, 2018.
Councillor Pasternak, during the morning session of the meeting, advised Council that Toronto Fire Captain Danny Filippidis has been missing in the Lake Placid area since Wednesday. The Toronto Professional Firefighters Association is coordinating the deployment of off-duty Toronto firefighters to assist with the search. On behalf of Members of Council, Councillor Pasternak extended thoughts to Fire Captain Filippidis' family, friends and colleagues for his safe return.
Mayor Tory, during the morning session of the meeting, wished Speaker Nunziata a happy birthday.
Councillor McMahon, during the morning session of the meeting, welcomed Yasmin Rajabi, one of her two Protégée's through the City of Toronto Protégée Program, to the Chamber.
Councillor McMahon, during the evening session of the meeting, advised Council that the Winter Stations art exhibition would be running from February 19 to April 1, 2018 in The Beach.
