February 12, 2018 at 10:02 a.m. - Speaker Nunziata advised Council of the following:
We will now review and confirm the Order Paper. Once the Order Paper has been approved by Council, any change will need a two‑thirds vote.
The Mayor has identified Item EX31.1 on the 2018 property tax rates and related matters as his first Key Matter and Item EX31.2 on the 2018 Capital and Operating Budgets as his second Key matter.
We are scheduled to meet until 8 p.m. tonight. We will take a scheduled recess between 6 and 6:30 p.m. Council will reconvene tomorrow at 9:30 a.m. if necessary.
The City Manager and the Interim Chief Financial Officer are prepared to give a presentation on the 2018 Capital and Operating Budgets.
Members will have an opportunity to ask questions on each of the Items when the Items come up for debate. There will be no separate round of questions on the presentation.
Members, we have three items before us. Items 1 and 2 will be debated but does anyone wish to hold Item 3?
