2. Authorized the installation of speed bumps on Sussex Mews, between Bloor Street West and Sussex Avenue, as shown on the attached Drawing No. 421G–3128 dated July 2018 attached to the Letter (July 3, 2018) from Councillor Joe Cressy.
Origin
Summary
Building streets that are safe for all road users – pedestrians, cyclists, and motorists – is the responsibility of all of us.
My office has heard a number of concerns from area residents regarding Sussex Mews, a laneway in Harbord Village. Transportation Services have reviewed the concerns, and are recommending that the speed limit be lowered on the laneway, but that speed bumps also be installed.
My office and the local neighbourhood are both in agreement with the recommendations.
