Community Council Decision
The Toronto and East York Community Council:
1. Approved the extension of the overnight on-street permit parking hours on Hector Avenue, between Davenport Road and Melita Avenue from 12:01 a.m. to 7:00 a.m., 7 days a week to the new hours of 12:01 a.m. to 9:00 a.m., 7 days a week and 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday to Friday; and
2. Approved the extension of the overnight on-street permit parking hours on Rains Avenue, between Davenport Road and Melita Avenue from 12:01 a.m. to 7:00 a.m., 7 days a week to the new hours of 12:01 a.m. to 9:00 a.m., 7 days a week and 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday to Friday; and
3. Approved the extension of the overnight on-street permit parking hours on Melita Avenue, between Rains Avenue and Christie Street from 12:01 a.m. to 7:00 a.m., 7 days a week to the new hours of 12:01 a.m. to 9:00 a.m., 7 days a week and 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday to Friday.

Transportation Services is requesting approval from Toronto and East York Community Council to extend the overnight on-street permit parking hours on Hector Avenue, between Davenport Road and Melita Avenue, Rains Avenue, between Davenport Road and Melita Avenue and Melita Avenue, between Rains Avenue and Christie Street from 12:01 a.m. to 7:00 a.m., 7 days a week to the new hours of 12:01 a.m. to 9:00 a.m., 7 days a week and 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday to Friday.
By extending the overnight on-street permit parking hours residents will have improved parking flexibility and the Parking Enforcement Unit, Toronto Police Service, can effectively control long term parking by non-residents through tagging and towing operations.
