City Council Decision
City Council on October 29 and 30, 2019, adopted the following:
1. City Council approve the application to demolish the existing place of worship at 587 Oakwood Avenue pursuant to By-law 3102-95 of the former City of York subject to the owner entering into a beautification agreement with the City containing a beautification plan to the satisfaction of the Director, Community Planning, Toronto and East York District and the agreement be registered on title to the lands.
2. City Council authorize the City Solicitor to prepare the agreement in consultation with the Ward Councillor and the owner.
3. City Council authorize and direct the appropriate City officials to take the necessary action to give effect to City Council's decision.

Community Council Recommendations
The Toronto and East York Community Council recommends that:
1. City Council approve the application to demolish the existing place of worship at 587 Oakwood Avenue pursuant to By-law No. 3102-95 of the former City of York subject to the owner entering into a beautification agreement with the City containing a beautification plan to the satisfaction of the Director, Community Planning, Toronto and East York District and the agreement be registered on title to the lands.
2. City Council authorize the City Solicitor to prepare the agreement in consultation with the Ward Councillor and the owner.
3. City Council authorize and direct the appropriate City officials to take the necessary action to give effect to the recommendations above.

The the Toronto and East York Community Council:
1. That in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 27, Council Procedures, reconsider Item TE9.20.
That Toronto and East York Community Council:
1. Approve the application to demolish the existing place of worship pursuant to By-law No. 3102-95 of the former City of York subject to the owner entering into a beautification agreement with the City containing a beautification plan to the satisfaction of the Director, Community Planning, Toronto and East York District and the agreement be registered on title to the lands.
2. City Solicitor be authorized to prepare the agreement in consultation with the Ward Councillor and the owner.
3. The appropriate City officials be authorized and directed to take the necessary action to give effect thereto.
