2. Directed the City Solicitor to prepare a by-law to alter the roadway to install eight speed humps on Dovercourt Road, between Dundas Street West and Queen Street West, generally as shown on attached Drawing No. 421G-3647, dated December 2019.
Origin
Summary
Road Reconstruction, including watermain replacement will be taking place on Dovercourt Road from College Street to Queen Street West. This reconstruction provides an opportunity to implement additional road safety measures. These measures include raising the curb height, sidewalk replacement, intersection improvements and planted areas. In addition to these measures, residents were asked to consider five various traffic calming options at a public meeting held in October 2019. Results from this consultation came back in favour of speed humps on Dovercourt. If approved, speed humps will be installed as a part of the road reconstruction beginning in fall 2020.
