City Council Decision
City Council on April 7 and 8, 2021, adopted the following:
1. City Council increase the Approved 2021 Operating Budget for Toronto Public Health by the amount identified in Confidential Attachment 1 to the report (March 29, 2021) from the City Manager and the Medical Officer of Health and four temporary positions to fund expanded harm reduction services.
2. City Council authorize the Medical Officer of Health to enter into the Contribution Agreement with Health Canada for expanded harm reduction service on such terms and conditions that are satisfactory to the Medical Officer of Health and in a form approved by the City Solicitor.
3. City Council authorize the public release of Confidential Attachment 1 to the report (March 29, 2021) from the City Manager and the Medical Officer of Health following the Federal Government's public release of the information.
Confidential Attachment 1 to the report (March 29, 2021) from the City Manager and the Medical Officer of Health is now public, the Federal Government having publicly released the information, and can be accessed under Background Information (City Council).
