The Confronting Anti-Black Racism Advisory Committee:

 

1.  Requested the Confronting Anti-Black Racism Unit to engage the Unit's Partnership and Accountability Circle as a primary reference group for the Little Jamaica Initiative to increase community participation and accountability in project governance and decision making.

 

2.  Requested the Manager, Confronting Anti-Black Racism Unit, to report back to the Confronting Anti-Black Racism Advisory Committee in the first quarter of 2022 on a financial structure that can be created to assist members of the Black community to own commercial property in Little Jamaica.

Summary

The Manager, Confronting Anti-Black Racism Unit, Social Development, Finance and Administration, will provide an update on City Council's recent motions and decisions as they relate to the Little Jamaica Initiative and continued opportunities for community engagement and strategic support.

The Confronting Anti-Black Racism Advisory Committee recommends that:
