Summary

As traffic has been starting to increase with businesses reopening, residents are noting a huge increase in traffic and speed of that traffic through their neighbourhoods. Where possible, Community Council must be taking steps to reduce the speed of vehicles through the provision of speed humps where residents would like to see them.

Speed humps have proven successful at often keeping cars below the speed limit while increasing the safety of the street and raising the awareness of the driver to their surroundings.

My office has received a series of petitions I will be submitting to staff to support these requests to see their installation studied and eventual installation, on as quick a timeline as possible.
