Summary

I am writing to request your support in directing Traffic Operations Staff to introduce permit parking on the south side of Manor Road West between Duplex Avenue and the Manor Road West Foot Bridge.

Residents of the apartment building at 5 Manor Road West have, until April 2022, have had access to overnight permit parking spots on the eastern portion of Manor Road West, in front of their building.  However, due to the construction, and future pedestrianization of Manor Road West as part of the development at 2100 Yonge Street, the short and long term future of their parking situation has been jeopardized.

While a temporary solution has been arranged to allow the five permits holders to park on Lola Road since April, staff have advised that this not a sustainable solution and have advised that expanding capacity on the western portion of Manor Road West, between Duplex Ave and the pedestrian bridge is a suitable solution moving forward.
