It is recommended that the Terms of Reference for the Giant Panda Outreach Task Force (Attachment 1) be approved.

Summary

This report recommends establishing a Giant Panda Outreach Task Force with representation from specific sectors of the community.  This Task Force will bring together community members with valuable ideas and insights to guide the Toronto Zoo in preparing and implementing the Giant Panda outreach program.

ZB14.2 - Eurasia Foundations and Underground Services Tender

Recommendations

It is recommended that:

 

1.         The tender for the Tiger & Gift Shop Foundations & Underground Services, RFT #24 (2012-05) be awarded to TBG Landscape Inc. in the amount of $290,240.78 plus taxes and a contingency allowance; and

 

2.         The tender for the Snow Leopard/Bird & Restroom Foundations & Underground Services, RFT #25 (2012-05) be awarded to Martinway Contracting Ltd. in the amount of $554,000.00 plus taxes and a contingency allowance.

Summary

This report recommends the Board award the tenders for the Eurasia Foundations and Underground Services project.

Financial Impact

There are no financial implications to this report, as the funding is included in the approved 2012 Capital Works Program.

1.         The tender for the Tiger Precast Concrete Building, RFT #27 (2012-06), be awarded to Martinway Contracting Ltd. in the amount of $303,200.00, plus taxes and a contingency allowance; and

 

2.         The tender for the Snow Leopard/Bird Precast Concrete Building, RFT #28 (2012-06), be awarded to Martinway Contracting Ltd. in the amount of $286,000.00, plus taxes and a contingency allowance.

Summary

This report recommends the Board award the tenders for the Eurasia Precast Concrete Buildings project.
