City Council on February 7 and 8, 2011, adopted the following:
1. City Council grant authority to award a Sole Source contract for the purchase, maintenance, testing and repair of resident lifts to Arjohuntleigh Canada Inc. in an amount not to exceed $3,800,000 net of all taxes and charges for a period of five (5) years from April 1, 2011 to March 31, 2016.

That staff be requested to include in any report that recommends a sole source award, a executive summary of Madam Justice Bellamy's recommendations on appropriate sole sourcing.
That motion 1 by Councillor Del Grande be amended by adding to the end of Part 2, the words "with the results of the RFP to be submitted to City Council, through the Government Management Committee", so that Part 2 now reads as follows:
2. City Council direct the General Manager, Long-Term Care Homes and Services, and the Director, Purchasing and Materials Management, to issue a Request for Proposals for the purchase of new equipment, with the results of the RFP to be submitted to City Council, through the Government Management Committee.
Motion 1 by Councillor Del Grande subsequently lost as amended.
