Summary
This report recommends that City Council include the property at 42-46 Overlea Boulevard on the City of Toronto Inventory of Heritage Properties for its cultural heritage value. The site is located on the north side of Overlea Boulevard east of Thorncliffe Park Drive in Leaside and contains the former Coca-Cola headquarters and bottling plant (built in 1964 and officially opened in 1965).
Heritage staff have been notified by other City Planning Division staff that an application for demolition may be submitted for the property at 42-46 Overlea Boulevard. This listing report has been prepared in the event that a demolition application is made and a comprehensive review and possible designation can be undertaken.
