Committee Decision
The Planning and Growth Management Committee:
1. directed staff to review the application for Official Plan and Zoning By-law Amendment for 40 Reading Court concurrently and in the context of the statutory Five Year Review of the Official Plan, which includes a Municipal Comprehensive Review.
2. upon completion of the Municipal Comprehensive Review:
i. directed the Chief Planner and Executive Director, City Planning, to schedule a community consultation meeting for the lands at 40 Reading Court, together with the Ward Councillor.
ii. directed the Chief Planner and Executive Director, City Planning, to provide notice for the community consultation meeting to landowners and residents within 120 metres of the site.
iii. directed that notice for the public meeting under the Planning Act be given according to the regulations of the Planning Act.

Summary
This application proposes to amend the Official Plan and Zoning By-law to permit a place of worship at 40 Reading Court which is located to the north and west of the intersection of Highway #27 and Dixon Road. The application proposes a 4-storey, 12,030 m2 place of worship with ancillary uses (ie: offices, café, bookstore and rectory).
This report provides preliminary information on the above-noted application and seeks Planning and Growth Management Committee's direction on further processing of the application and on the community consultation process.
