Scarborough Community Council:

 

1.         Directed Planning staff to schedule a community consultation meeting for the lands at 0 Neilson Road together with the Ward Councillor.

 

2.         Directed Planning staff to give Notice for the community consultation meeting to landowners and residents within 120 metres of the site and, in addition, to properties at 400, 410, 430 and 480 McClevin Avenue, 1301, 1315 and 1319 Neilson Road and 10, 20 and 30 Sewell's Road, with any additional mailing costs to be the responsibility of the applicant.

 

3.         Directed City Clerk’s staff to give Notice for the public meeting under the Planning Act according to the regulations under the Planning Act.

Summary

This application proposes a residential condominium development comprised of 102 stacked, three-storey townhouse units with one level of below-grade parking at 0 Neilson Road.  The property is on the east side of Neilson Road, south of McLevin Avenue.  It is currently vacant and has therefore not been assigned a proper municipal address.

 

This report provides preliminary information on the above-noted application and seeks Community Council's directions on further processing of the applications and on the community consultation process.

 

Staff recommend that a community consultation meeting be held in the second quarter of 2013, as an opportunity for the public to review the applicant’s submission, ask questions of City staff and the applicant, and provide feedback on the application.  It is anticipated that a final report on the application will be submitted to Community Council for consideration before the end of 2013.  These target dates assume that the applicant will provide all required information in a timely manner.

That Scarborough Community Council amend Recommendation 2 by adding the words, "and in addition to properties at 400, 410, 430 and 480 McClevin Avenue, 1301, 1315 and 1319 Neilson Road and 10, 20 and 30 Sewell's Road, with any additional mailing costs be the responsibility of the applicant" so that Recommendation 2 reads as follows:

 

"2.        Notice for the community consultation meeting be given to landowners and residents within 120 metres of the site, and in addition to properties at 400, 410, 430 and 480 McClevin Avenue, 1301, 1315 and 1319 Neilson Road and 10, 20 and 30 Sewell's Road, with any additional mailing costs be the responsibility of the applicant."
