Community Council Decision
Scarborough Community Council:
1. Directed Planning staff to schedule a community consultation meeting for the lands at 1555 Midland Avenue together with the Ward Councillor.
2. Directed Planning staff to give Notice for the community consultation meeting to landowners and residents within 120 metres of the site and the area bounded by Ellesmere Road to the north, Brimley Road to the east, Lawrence Avenue East to the south and Midland Avenue to the west, and, further, directed that the additional notification expense be borne by the Applicant.
3. Directed City Clerk's staff to give Notice for the public meeting under the Planning Act according to the regulations of the Planning Act.

Summary
This application proposes a zoning by-law amendment and a draft plan of subdivision application to demolish the existing Bendale Business Technical Institute school building to permit the construction of 140 townhouse units, a new public road system, and expansion of Donwood Park at 1555 Midland Avenue.
This report provides preliminary information on the above-noted applications and seeks Community Council's directions on further processing of the applications and on the community consultation process.
A final report will be prepared and a public meeting will be scheduled once all identified issues have been satisfactorily resolved and all required information is provided.

That Scarborough Community Council amend Recommendation 2 to read:
"2. Notice for the community consultation meeting be given to landowners and residents within 120 metres of the site and the area bounded by Ellesmere Road to the north, Brimley Road to the east, Lawrence Avenue East to the south and Midland Avenue to the west, and, further, directed that the additional notification expense be borne by the Applicant.”
