City Council Decision

City Council on February 20 and 21, 2013, adopted the following:

 

1.         City Council enact the draft by-law to name the proposed public street north of Gerrard Street East, extending between Broadview Avenue and the Don Valley Parkway, as "Jack Layton Way".

 

2.         City Council enact the draft by-law to name the proposed public highway north of Gerrard Street East and west of Broadview Avenue as "Blue Rodeo Drive".

Community Council Recommendations

The Toronto and East York Community Council recommends that:

 

1.         City Council enact the draft by-law to name the proposed public street north of Gerrard Street East, extending between Broadview Avenue and the Don Valley Parkway, as "Jack Layton Way".

 

2.         City Council enact the draft by-law to name the proposed public highway north of Gerrard Street East and west of Broadview Avenue as "Blue Rodeo Drive".

Decision Advice and Other Information

The Toronto and East York Community Council under its delegated authority:

 

1.         Enacted the draft by-law to name the proposed public street west of Broadview Avenue extending northerly from Gerrard Street East as "St. Matthews Road".

 

2.         Enacted the draft by-law to name the proposed public highway north of Gerrard Street East extending westerly from Broadview Avenue as "Bridgepoint Drive".

 

The Toronto and East York Community Council held a public meeting on January 22, 2013, in accordance with the City of Toronto Act, 2006, and notice was posted on the City's website. No one appeared before the Community Council.
