City Council Decision
City Council on June 10, 11, 12 and 13, 2014, adopted the following:
1. City Council amend the process by which City land is declared surplus and sold so that:
a. notification is required in the form of signage placed on site at the designated property, identical to that which is required for development proposals in terms of signage size and placement;
b. the signage is placed on the site for a period of no less than 60 days prior to the commencement of the process of declaring any City land as being surplus and is to remain on site until the process is complete, either with the determination that the land is not surplus or the land is declared surplus and sold; and
c. the signage is also to include a notation that local residents may seek to purchase the land if declared surplus and offered for sale.
