Community Council Decision

The Toronto and East York Community Council:

 

1.         Received for information the report (July 7, 2014) from the Director, Community Planning, Toronto and East York District, headed "College Street Built Form Study - Status Report."

 

2.         Requested the Director, Community Planning, Toronto and East York District, to amend the study purpose to include the social value of buildings, in addition to built form and physical character.

Summary

On February 14, 2012, Toronto and East York Community Council requested the Director, Community Planning, Toronto and East York District, review the policy context for College Street generally from University Avenue to Bathurst Street, and report back to Toronto and East York Community Council on preliminary findings along with recommendations for a community consultation process.

 

Staff have commenced the College Street Built Form Study.  This report provides a status update on the community consultation that has occurred to date, and next steps.

That the Toronto and East York Community Council adopt the recommendation in the report (July 7, 2014) from the Director, Community Planning, Toronto and East York District, subject to adding the following new Recommendation 2:

 

2.         Request the Director, Community Planning, Toronto and East York District, to amend the study purpose to include the social value of buildings, in addition to built form and physical character.
