1. Established two subcommittees to hear public deputations on the 2015 Capital, Operating and Rate Supported Budgets at Scarborough, North York, Etobicoke Civic Centres and City Hall, as follows:

The Budget Committee:
1. Requested the City Clerk to give public notice of the meetings of the two subcommittees.
2. Requested the Deputy City Manager and Chief Financial Officer, in consultation with the Chair, to report back to the Budget Committee on alternative dates for the Budget Committee meeting scheduled for February 20, 2015.

Summary
City Council, at its meeting on December 11, 2014, adopted Item EX1.7 titled "2015 Recommended Budget Process and Schedule" which recommended that the Budget Committee hear public presentations on the 2015 Capital and Operating Budgets on February 2 and 3, 2015.
It is important that the 2015 Budget Process is widely accessible to the public. I am therefore recommending the Budget Committee establish two Sub-Committees in order to hear a greater number of public presentations on these dates, in different locations across the City. The Sub-Committees will report to the Budget Committee on their activities as part of the 2015 Budget Process.
I have suggested that one sub-committee hear deputations at Scarborough and Etobicoke Civic Centres, and the other hear them at North York Civic Centre and City Hall, but I will leave that to the Budget Committee to make the final determination.

Motions
