The Toronto East York Community Council:

1.  Reduced the speed limit from 50 km/h to 30 km/h on all local roads within the confines of the Toronto and East York Community Council area, excluding those roads that bound more than one community council area, with the exception of the following streets:

            Ward 28:

Adelaide Street East from Jarvis Street to Adelaide Street East

Richmond Street East from Richmond Street East to Jarvis Street.

            Ward 30:

            Basin Street

            Bouchette Street

            East Don Roadway

            Heward Street, south of Eastern Avenue

            Munition Street

            Polson Street

            Saulter Street, south of Lake Shore Boulevard

            Unwin Avenue

            Villiers Street.

2.  Authorized the appropriate City staff to take the necessary action to implement the foregoing reduction in the speed limit, including the introduction of the necessary Bills to the Toronto and East York Community Council.

3.  Requested the General Manager, Transportation Services to consider a speed limit reduction for the following streets as part of the Transportation and Servicing Master Plan for South of Eastern, which is currently underway as part of the Port Lands Consultation:

            Ward 30:

            Basin Street

            Bouchette Street

            East Don Roadway

            Heward Street, south of Eastern Avenue

            Munition Street

            Polson Street

            Saulter Street, south of Lake Shore Boulevard

            Unwin Avenue

            Villiers Street.
