The Executive Committee requested:
1. The Director, Human Resources and the Director, Equity, Diversity and Human Rights report to the Aboriginal Affairs Committee on a proposed Aboriginal Affairs Office at the City of Toronto to coordinate implementation of the City of Toronto Statement of Commitment to Aboriginal Communities in Toronto across all City divisions, including necessary resources, such report to include a jurisdictional scan of other Canadian municipalities in Canada with large Aboriginal populations, and whether those jurisdictions have established Aboriginal Affairs Offices to address issues within that community.
