City Council Decision
City Council on November 8 and 9, 2016, adopted the following:
1. City Council endorse and request Metrolinx to address the following list of community issues related to Metrolinx's Davenport Diamond Grade Separation Project:
a. develop a comprehensive vision with a separate budget for public realm improvements and a design competition;
b. address noise, vibration, and safety issues and concerns;
c. create a multi-modal station at Bloor;
d. establish cycling and walking connections throughout including connections to the West Toronto Railpath, the Green Line, and an elevated connection to Earlscourt Park;
e. devise a long-term maintenance plan and endowment fund for community programming;
f. resolve concerns relating to Dupont Street;
g. provide the community with a date commitment to electrify the corridor; and
h. guarantee that no more than the proposed 36 trains per day will be in use until electric trains are operational on the corridor.
