The Public Works and Infrastructure Committee referred the Item to the General Manager of Transportation Services with the request that she report on February 28, 2017 on:
a. the current City of Toronto policy on parking pads as per Municipal Code Chapter 918, Parking on Residential Front Yards and Boulevards and current challenges implementing the policy;
b. the general impact of parking pads on the City, including the impact on the City of Toronto's natural environment and stormwater operations as well as the property values of residential homes; and
c. a mechanism to bring unauthorized parking pad locations with existing legal ramps into compliance.

Summary
The purpose of this report is to provide an interim status update on the work completed to date to respond to Council's request of January 21, 2016 for a report from the General Manager, Transportation Services regarding the feasibility of "Extending the Parking Pad Moratorium to areas outside of the former City of Toronto."
In order to fully address the scope and complexity of the issues surrounding Front Yard Parking (FYP) in the City of Toronto, staff require additional time to ensure a comprehensive review of the matter.
